It’s the question almost every prospective investor is thinking but rarely asks out loud. You’ve read the pitch deck and the fund summary, you’ve seen the target returns, and now you’re wondering: what does this actually look like once I commit? Before you ever send a dollar our way, you deserve a clear answer. So let’s walk through it together, start to finish, from your first conversation with us to your first distribution.
It Starts With a Conversation, Not a Contract
Most people find us through a referral or an ad, and the first thing that happens is a phone call. We call it a discovery call, and honestly, that name says it all. We’re not trying to close anything on this call. We’re trying to figure out, together, whether this is even the right fit for you.
We’ll start with the basics of accreditation, since our private funds are only open to accredited investors. That means a few questions about your income and assets, just to confirm where you stand. From there, we get curious. Have you invested in private deals before? Ever been part of a private debt fund? Do you hold real estate or other alternative assets already? We ask because it matters to us. Your experience and your comfort with risk shape whether this makes sense for you, not just for us.
Getting Into the Details
If that first call feels good and you want to keep going, we’ll set up a second conversation, this time to go deeper. We’ll walk you through exactly how the fund is structured and answer every question you throw at us. Nothing here should feel rushed.
At this point, we’ll send an invitation to our investor portal, Juniper Square, where you can securely review the private placement memorandum (PPM). The PPM is the real detail document. It spells out what you’re investing in, how the fund works, and how it generates returns. We want you to sit with that, ask questions, and feel genuinely familiar with what we do before you take another step.
Paperwork, Done Right
Once you’re ready to move forward, we’ll send over the subscription agreement, along with the PPM, a questionnaire, and a handful of supporting forms. It’s paperwork, sure, but it’s the kind that protects you as much as it protects us.
Funding the Investment
When your documents are squared away, you’ll wire your investment to our subscription account, the same account every investor funds through. From there, your money moves into the fund’s operating account, and you’re issued your membership documents for the Investor First Fund.
From your very first conversation to being fully funded, most people are looking at somewhere between two and three weeks. If you need to move faster, we can accommodate that. If you need more time to get your funds together, that’s fine too. This is your timeline, not ours.
Your Home Base: Juniper Square
Once you’re in, Juniper Square becomes your window into everything. Your account details, your investment, every distribution, and your tax documents, including 1099s and K-1s, all live there. Our Director of Investor Relations will personally walk you through setup so nothing feels unfamiliar.
And beyond the portal, you’ll have a dedicated investor representative you can call or email whenever you need to. Real people. Fast answers. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to.
The Part You’ve Been Waiting For
Once your capital is deployed, the distributions start, landing around the 20th of every month by ACH, whether your investment sits in a regular account, an IRA, or with a custodian.
Here’s what that can look like in practice: on a $250,000 investment at our 8.5% annual target, you’re looking at roughly $1,770 a month. That’s about 0.7% every single month, arriving like clockwork for as long as you’re invested with us.
If You Ever Need to Step Away
Life happens, and sometimes you need your capital back. If that day comes, you’ll reach out to your investor representative, complete the redemption paperwork, and plan on roughly 90 days for that request to process.
Why We Ask So Many Questions
We know it can feel like a lot of questions along the way. But that’s intentional. We want to know you well enough to help you decide, honestly, whether this is the right investment for your life and your goals. Because in the end, this isn’t only about the return, even though we’re committed to delivering a solid, steady one. It’s about whether you feel confident and comfortable every step of the way.
